The Heirloom Crown Reserve Story
Heirloom Crown Reserve began with a cherished tradition during during the Christmas holiday in my Granny's kitchen.
Every Christmas, as a little girl, I helped my Granny prepare black cake, a traditional Caribbean holiday delicacy. Those were the moments I looked forward to most during the holiday season.
My Granny recognized my love for cooking and my appreciation for the care that goes into preparing food. She believed that cooking should be done with love, creativity, and pride, and she welcomed me into thay cakel nevewgure me to make the cakes while gently guiding me along the way.
With her watchful eye, 1 learned by creaming the butter, sugar and eggs by hand to begin the black cake batter and carefully folding the rum soaked fruit, and dry ingredients into the wet mixture, small steps that carried generations of tradition.
The kitchen was a place for stories, laughter, and connection — a time filled with love and tradition.
Years later, I began baking and sharing black cakes with loved ones.
One of those people is a beautiful soul, and dear friend who inspired me to share this tradition with even more people.
Today, both his spirit and my Granny's spirit
continue to guide this journey.
